MARIANNE FRANK

Born and raised in Germany while growing up in a rural area on a 4 cow farm with some chickens and pigs, fields of grain and potatoes and a big vegetable garden always made me close to nature and appreciating the God- given gifts and hard work.

As a child I would go with my dad for walks on Sunday morning. My dad would explain plants and tress to me, the seasonal changes, when and how to harvest. He taught us to respect Nature. He explained the mating and birthing season of the wildlife that we loved to watch. It seemed that Nature always gave us something to eat, explore, watch and admire. It makes me smile thinking back to these beautiful times with my dad and my brother. It was often the highlight of my week.

My mother knew a lot about herbs, how and when to harvest, how to make tinctures and salves. Although we did not have a lot of material things in our lives, we had a great abundance of knowledge and a wonderful homemade pharmacy. This love and respect for Nature is still with me to this day. I have experienced many Wholistic Practitioners, Homeopathy, and Herbology all my life.

As a child I felt different. I would know outcomes in advance, receive messages true to my dreams and saw people who have passed. Now it makes sense why I took this path. I have been studying Metaphysics since I was a teenager. In 1991, my uncle Willi passed. One week prior to his death, I was visiting him in the nursing home and felt some “strange” presence around us. This made me look closer and more intensively into Medium work. In 1992, I lost my dad and another uncle with in 10 days of each other. It was then that I studied even more about Mediumship and Psychic work.

I came to Canada in 1994 for a vacation and fell in Love with the West Coast and Nature. On December 1995 I emigrated to Power River, BC. 1995 was my year of big change! Childhood abuse from my mother caught up with me, as I never dealt with it properly. As in many families…”We do not talk about it, and if you tell your dad you will see what will happen”… In this case, my mother was the abuser and my time with my dad, my brother, my aunt and uncles were my sanctuary.

In 1996 I heard about past life regressions. It was then that I started to study my own past lives. I have used many of the tools I learned in my own Healing Journey, which never seems to end.

After taking counselling courses, I worked my way from homeless adults, to an addiction counsellor, to a youth and family counsellor. Working with these people who had many of the same experiences as I had been through, I realized how fortunate I was that after all I had gone though, I was still able to lead a more or less normal life. I have deep gratitude for the people who protected me and for the people who have supported me on my healing journey.

I thought more about my childhood, and came to the realization that I was different then and now. In 1999 I fulfilled my childhood dream to ride my horse in the Rocky Mountains and came to Alberta where I worked as a guide/ camp cook for an outfit from May to October. Best job of my life so far.

In 2000 I started taking courses at Wilde Rose College of Wholistic Healing, Calgary Alberta and the Langara College, Vancouver BC. Outside the college I learned about Reflexology, Bach Flower remedies, Reiki, Kinesiology, Energy Medicine/ Spiritual Healing, Mediumship and traditional Native healing and ceremonies, in many different ways and with different mentors and teachers.
